Getting to the conference


If you are travelling from outside the EU, you may need to apply for a visa. Further information can be found here.


The University campus is 10-20 minutes by foot from the heart of Leeds city centre. The university provides a number of maps and map links here.

By air

Leeds is served by two major airports: Leeds and Bradford International Airport and Manchester International Airport. Regular flights are available from a number of European and International cities. Leeds Bradford Airport is approximately seven miles away from the University, and is well served by taxis.

By train

Leeds is at the hub of the UK rail network with fast and frequent services to London (2 hours 20 mins), Manchester Airport (1.5 hours), Manchester (1 hour), Newcastle (1 hour 30mins), Birmingham (2 hours), Hull (1 hour).

The campus is 5 minutes by taxi from the railway station, or a 20-minute walk.

By car

We strongly advise against bringing your car to Leeds. Parking on campus is extremely limited and we encourage you to use public transport where possible.
